Terms of Service

1. Who can use CheckAmm

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use CheckAmm. The Service is intended for users in Nigeria, and prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦). You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Each account is for a single person — you may be signed in on one device at a time.

2. What CheckAmm is — and isn't

CheckAmm helps people register, verify, buy, and sell devices more safely. We provide IMEI checks, community-sourced risk scores, hardware-test references, ownership records, and a marketplace.

CheckAmm is a verification aid, not a guarantee. A risk score, "verified" status, or clean report reflects the information available to us at a point in time — it is not a warranty that a device is genuine, unencumbered, or safe to buy. CheckAmm is a platform that connects buyers and sellers; we are not a party to, and do not guarantee, any transaction between users. You are responsible for your own due diligence before paying for any device.

3. Your account & device vault

You may add devices to your vault with details such as IMEI, brand, model, and photos. You agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to register and list any device you add. Registering a device does not by itself prove ownership.

4. Marketplace & listings

• Listings may be reviewed by our team before appearing publicly, and may be removed or rejected at our discretion.
• You may not list devices that are stolen, lost, fraudulent, counterfeit, or that you do not have the right to sell.
• Devices flagged as lost or stolen are blocked from being listed, sold, or transferred.
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your listings, your communications with other users, and your transactions.
• Plan limits (for example, the number of active listings) apply based on your subscription.

5. Device transfers & sales

When you sell or transfer a device through CheckAmm, both parties may be asked to confirm the transaction digitally. This record helps reduce disputes but does not make CheckAmm a party to the sale. Payment for devices is arranged between users; verify funds before releasing any device.

6. Lost & stolen reports

You may report a device as lost or stolen. Reports must be truthful and made in good faith. Filing false, malicious, or harassing reports is prohibited and may result in suspension. Verified reports may be broadcast to other users and may be shared with law-enforcement where appropriate.

7. Subscriptions & payments

CheckAmm offers a free tier and a paid plan (Vault Pro). Paid plans are billed in Naira at the price shown at purchase and grant the features described at the time. Unless required by law or expressly stated, payments are non-refundable. We may change plan features or pricing on a prospective basis with notice.

8. Rewards, coins & referrals

CheckAmm may offer in-app rewards such as coins, streaks, badges, and referral benefits. These have no cash value, are not transferable, cannot be redeemed for money, and may be changed, expired, or revoked — including where we detect abuse such as fake accounts or referral farming.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful;
• List or trade stolen, lost, or counterfeit devices;
• Impersonate others, scam users, or post false information;
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users;
• Attempt to bypass security, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service;
• Misuse reports, reviews, or the verification system.

10. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as device photos and descriptions). You grant CheckAmm a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to anything you upload.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any verification result, risk score, or listing is accurate, complete, or reliable. Any reliance on the Service is at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CheckAmm and GadgetVault will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from a transaction between users, reliance on verification data, or your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold CheckAmm and GadgetVault harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your listings or transactions, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Suspension & termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms, create risk for other users, or misuse the Service. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
